Yonex Astrox 3 DG is a head-heavy racket for intermediate players. With a durable-grade frame and hi-flex shaft, you can play steep smashes to overwhelm the opponents. You can string it up to 35 lbs making it the top choice for players who want more control and power.

Nydhi Expert Review

The Astrox DG series is new, but its popularity is palpable because of its affordable price, durability, and power. We recommend it to players still learning the skills because its extra flex will allow you to generate more power.

It is perfect for recreational and intermediate players who want to enjoy more swing speed and add extra strength to their smashes. Remember that hi-flex will pay more emphasis to power instead of control. But, you can remedy the situation with a high stringing tension.

Is Voltric DG different from the Astrox DG series?

DG stands for “durable grade” in both head-heavy series. The Voltric DG series rackets have 3U and 4U categories and are made in China and Taiwan. The Voltric series has the Tri-Voltage System for exceptional speed and powerful smashes. The rackets in this series have recommended string tension under 30 lbs.

The Astrox DG series is made in Taiwan and includes the Rotational Generator System for even weight distribution and smooth transition with a rapid succession of shots. All the rackets are 4u and can be strung up to 35 lbs, thus delivering more accuracy and control.

Which is Better: Yonex Astrox 3 DG vs. 7 DG vs. 10 DG?

All rackets are head-heavy with a focus on higher stringing tension. However, the difference lies in their shaft. The Astrox 3 DG is a hi-flex racket to add more power to your shots. On the other hand, 7 DG and 10 DG have a medium flex. Choose the 3DG if your focus is power instead of control.

Truly Durable Grade

The Yonex Astrox 3DG racket is truly durable grade. Because of its material, the racket is long-lasting and does not break. I am impressed by its high stringing tension of 35 lbs because other Astrox rackets rarely provide such a high number. Being a regular player, I prefer stringing my racket well over 30 lbs, and this racket fits my requirements.
